Necrometer ("the App") is published by ParanormalGear for entertainment purposes only. This policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.
With your permission, the App may access motion and orientation sensors (including compass data on iPhone) to create entertainment-style activity readings during a session. If permission is not granted, the App uses simulated demo readings instead.
If you turn on Location-based words in Settings, the App may access your approximate location only while a session is running. This is used to favour place-themed words (for example near a cemetery, church, hospital, woods, or water). Location is for entertainment only.
To detect nearby place types, the App may send your approximate coordinates to the OpenStreetMap Overpass API for a one-time lookup during a session check. ParanormalGear does not receive or store your location on its own servers.
The App uses on-device text-to-speech to read session words aloud when voice mode is enabled. Speech is generated locally on your device.
Session activity displayed in the App is temporary and remains on your device during use. The App does not upload investigation sessions to ParanormalGear.
The App is intended for a general audience interested in paranormal entertainment. Because of mild horror-themed words and atmosphere, parental guidance is recommended for younger users.
Necrometer is not scientific equipment and does not prove the presence of spirits or paranormal activity. Readings and words are generated for entertainment only.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
